I’m Promit Roy, CTO at Action = Reaction Labs, LLC. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a computer science degree. My prior work experience includes Day 1 Studios, NVIDIA, and Microsoft. My main focus right now is developing our BioReplicant physical animation technology, as well as mobile game development. We also work with the neurology department at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
In my spare time, I’m the lead developer on SlimDX, an open source library for DirectX support in .NET. I’m also developing SlimTune, an open source profiler for .NET software. I serve as a moderator and technical editor for GameDev.Net. In 2009, Microsoft awarded me XNA/DirectX MVP status for my work. I can be found on Twitter, or you may email me directly if you can conjoin my first.last name into a Gmail address.
Are you using SlimDX for the graphics?
Nope, this one is a native code project for my company and unrelated to SlimDX. The visuals are simple D3D 9 code.
Hmm, guess you dont have any higher level control there yet. Unless the crowd simulation is “Terminator Orgy” or “Manquin Rock Concert”…
Still, looks interesting…
I should re-title the video “Mannequin Mosh pit!”
